PRIVACY POLICY
This is the Privacy Policy ("Policy") of ILPDL.com.
ILPDL.com is an on-line service that enables payday and consumer installment loan lenders to comply
with the State of Illinois Payday Loan Reform Act ("PLRA") passed in the 2005 Legislative Session, and
the Illinois Consumer Installment Loan Act ("CILA"). The State of Illinois Department of Financial and
Professional Regulation ("Department") requires payday lenders to validate consumer eligibility using this
service pursuant to the PLRA and associated rules promulgated by the Department. The Department
requires CILA lenders to enter information via ILPDL.com pursuant to CILA and associated rules
promulgated by the Department.
Privacy and security are our highest priority - ensuring electronic access to state regulatory information
and services while maintaining privacy is a guiding principal of our program. Personal data in our
possession is maintained and used in ways that respect individual privacy. The Department educates its
employees about the importance of protecting personal information and privacy, and only authorized
employees have access to personal information.
The purpose of this Policy is to notify you of:
1. What personally identifiable information is collected through our web site;
2. The organization collecting the information;
3. How the information is used;
4. With whom the information may be shared;
5. The kind of security procedures that are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under our control;
6. How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.
If you fill out the "Contact Us" form, your name and other identifying information will not be sold or shared
with any person or organization. Your e-mail address or telephone number may be used by authorized
employees to contact you concerning your comments, questions, or complaints.
When you enter a payday loan into the database, including the name, phone number, social security
number, and other personal information of your customers, we use this information to help licensed
payday Lenders in the State of Illinois determine their eligibility to enter into a payday loan with a
consumer in compliance with the PLRA. When you enter a CILA loan into the database, including the
name, social security number, and other person information of your customers, we use this information to
help licensed CILA lenders in the State of Illinois comply with the reporting requirements of CILA.
The identifying information contained in the database for Lenders is confidential and exempt from public
disclosure. The information in the database may be accessed to fulfill requirements pursuant to the
PLRA and/or CILA and may be accessed by the Department for regulatory purposes consistent with
Illinois Laws. Catalis may also access the information for purposes of maintaining the database and to
provide statistical information about the program.
We do not sell or rent information to third parties for marketing programs or for any other purpose.
At the direction of a Lender (when the "Submit" button is clicked), the information provided to us will be
processed through the ILPDL.com system and the appropriate response will be returned to the Lender.
All of the Lenders in our network operate under federal and/or state laws and regulations. ILPDL.com will
treat information sent indirectly through a Lender in the same manner it treats the information you submit
directly through the website.
Only authorized employees are permitted to access customer information. Authorized employees have
been trained on how to handle information properly and are subject to strict limitations and guidelines in
the handling of that information.
ILPDL.com has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information
under our control. Catalis uses the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of
128-bits to safeguard your sensitive personal information during on-line transactions. Using this widely
accepted form of encryption, your transaction is secured from your personal computer to the Catalis
computers processing your request. Once your information reaches us, it resides on a database that is
heavily protected. This method protects personal information such as Social Security Number, residential
address and phone number, and business information including financial statements and reports. We
maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with state and federal regulations to
guard your information. Our servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are NOT directly connected to
the Internet, so your confidential information is available only to authorized computers. Most importantly,
this also protects your financial payment information including credit card and checking account numbers.
Only authorized employees are permitted to access your information. Authorized employees have been
trained on how to handle information properly and are subject to strict limitations and guidelines in the
handling of that information.
This notice should not be construed in any way as guaranteeing, or warranting as fail proof, the security
of information exchanged via Catalis web sites.
Any changes to our privacy promise will be communicated through the ILPDL.com web site at least 30
days in advance of implementation. Information collected before changes are made will be secured
according to the privacy policy in effect prior to the change.
